Sequel to this post, I’ve written previously on Interlinking. Like I said in that post, the strategy has been since the beginning of the internet and upon it was the whole internet built. The reason is simple, links connects pages online and pages are weighed by how many pages (links) link to them.
In this series of posts (yes! Because I’ll be showing the exact things I’m doing to get those sites ranked and you’ll be a testament to its success or failure. I’m running a test and the sites are the laboratory equipments!) I’ll try and rank some of my sites collecting dust and experiment with them, if they rank, great! If they don’t, I’ll analyze why they failed and work on them again.
The processes will be outlined here to the very detail because I believe in transparency and since you’re going to be using this guide as a case study for your own experiments, there’ll definitely be 100% transparency. I am learning as I experimenting and I believe you’ll be learning one or two things also. Therefore, please bookmark this series, study them and ACT on them. Get your sleeves up and get some site ranking!!!
That said, here’s the update and work done so far.
Presently, I’m working on different niches in very different markets. The purposes of each niche is different. For some, I’m ranking them to improve their market price. Since I am a website flipper, developing a site for sales is something I enjoy doing and it puts money on the table for me to enjoy life with.:-) not bad eh?
For obvious reasons, I’ll not give a link out from this site to the niche site we’ll be considering because I don’t want artificial spark in activities but since I want to reveal my niche, I’m exposing myself to competition and increased search engine warfare but I must reveal it for your sake! I care more for you than for people that just see opportunities and run after it without paying the price warranted.
Here are the site and market details/update.
Niche- Hamper Wicker
Domain Name- www..hamperwicker..info
N.B- if you need to check the site, please type it into your address bar.
How do I do my keyword research?
Well, I don’t really do any keyword research because I don’t have the time nor do I want to waste time doing it when I can buy already researched niches and immediately begin to develope sites in those niche. For less than $9, I get 1,000+(plus) well researched keywords and I can choose the niches I like and dump the rest. I know I am not the only person buying the keyword packet but I also know that many will use it, read it, and keep it! That’s the hard reality on the ground. Why would I waste time doing a task as daunting as anything can be. Instead of that, I will rather focus on more rewarding and engaging tasks that will be worth my time.
N.B- The things I prefer are not the same things you’d like. Because I don’t have time for keyword research and buy researched keywords does not mean that you should do the same. Please do only what is helpful/relevant for your situation.
Work Done So Far
For the niche site, I’ve written three articles on it targeting 3 different keywords. The way I structure the site, I made it static since it’s a wordpress blog though I don’t want it looking like a blog, I want it looking like an information blog in the old html style. So what I did was create 6 pages instead of post, use my keywords as page names and post articles on the pages. This way, all articles will not be showing on my homepage but each article on it’s homepage.
The reason is simple and obvious. Each page targets a keyword and also covers something unique. I can easily optimize each page for the search engine bot so that each article has a chance to hit number 1 page on google on it own. This is an experiment and results will be compared.
I used a “made for adsense” theme by doshdosh called “blue sense”. If you’re targeting adsense, this theme is a winner. The way the adsense ads are placed on your site, there’s no way your CTR will not increase. CTR means “click through ratio”. It’s used to measure how many people click your ads compared to how many visitors that page had.
Niche Site Content
For this experiment, I’m using 100% unique content on my site and the reason is simple. I’m building the site for people with needs and not search engine. What’s the point getting people to a site with very crappy content that they click away in anger?
Quality content has it’s place, duplicate content also has it’s place. As time goes on, I’ll be spinning the articles to re-distribute and build backlinks. Also part of this articles will go into my linkwheel system but for now, I want to focus on building the best content for my site.
On an average, my articles are between 400-500 words. Some fall a little below but non is less than 300. Like I said earlier, I don’t want my site looking like it was written for google as if google can read.:)
My advice to you if you’re doing this, please use quality content on your sites. Although, as time goes on, I want to experiment with different things. I’m interested in actually proving what people say. Some say .info domains don’t rank, some say duplicate contents are myths, some say they’re true. For me, I want to back up my claims with hard facts that cannot be ignored. This way, I can confidently shut up people that don’t understand what they’re saying or doing.
I will basically be using linkwheel to build backlinks to the site. It is an experiment and I can decide if linkwheel work or not. I have not started doing backlinking because I am still “putting my house in order”. Once all is set, backlinks can come in and we’ll all be here to see the results.
Never accept a theory as either true or false. Test everything you’re told and decide what works for yourself! In my case, that’s the motivation. I want to test linkwheels. I want to test niche site domination. I want to test how to rank site on the search engine. You’re here because you want to know. You want to learn what works and what doesn’t right?
Stay tuned, site back and enjoy! I am quite sure we will both enjoy the experience and the experiment!
P.S- I have taken time and effort to put this together. I am sure they are people out there who needs this information, please do me a big favour by either tweeting, facebook share, social bookmark this post because I want people to learn from the experiment.
You are the motivation behind this series. Without you here, the whole purpose is defeated. Thanks.
P.P.S- Don’t forget to bookmark this post. The series will continue untill first page ranking is achieved.
